BUILT IN 1869: A COUNTY ORIGINAL.

STILL EVOLVING.

In the family for over 30 years — and history continuously rewritten by the people who live and work here.

ENDURING BY DESIGN.

ORIGINAL HOUSE IS BUILT

Henry Hubbs marries Angeline, and the original house is built — the beginning of what would become a long-standing gathering place in Prince Edward County.

A small town scene with colorful buildings, a flower garden, a sign for Bloomfield Inn, and a large tree in the background.

COACHHOUSE MOTEL OPENS

The Coachhouse Motel was one of the first roadside motels of its kind in PEC — welcoming a new era of travelers discovering the County by car.

FIDA FAMILY OPEN ANGELINE’S

Alex’s family immigrate from Switzerland and open Angeline’s as a French fine dining restaurant. European hospitality meets rural Ontario — and quickly earns a devoted following.

A NEW CHAPTER QUIETLY BEGINS

Following Willie’s passing, Alex holds the fort. The next chapter quietly begins.

ANGELINE’S SHIFTS INTO ACCOMMODATION FOCUS

Alex Fida converts the main house into guest suites and begins restoring the cottages across the property — shifting Angeline’s from restaurant to destination stay.

MEET THE MINDS BEHIND ANGELINE’S

A man with a beard sitting on a yellow armchair in a living room, smiling at the camera. There is a large lamp, a window with yellow curtains, a potted plant, and a white ottoman nearby.
  • Alex is the creative mind behind Angeline’s Inn and House of Falconer — and the reason abandoned buildings in Prince Edward County don’t stay abandoned for long. Known for relocating a 1860s log cabin (yes, really) and restoring heritage spaces beam by beam, Alex blends old bones with modern comforts and a sharp design eye.

Part preservationist, part collector, part instigator — his spaces are layered, storied, and never accidental.

ALEX FIDA

  • Adam Bolton is the steady hand behind Angeline’s Inn and House of Falconer — part General Manager, part Culinary Director, part wellness lead.

A former musical theatre performer turned movement and meditation teacher, Adam has been teaching since 2007, blending classical yoga with a deep study of anatomy and biomechanics. That grounded, mechanics-first approach now shapes how he runs the Inns: thoughtful, intentional, and built on care.

In the kitchen, his philosophy is simple — gather people, cook with the seasons, and let good food do what it does best. Made-from-scratch, farm-informed, and deeply satisfying.

Calm presence. Sharp execution. Always rooted in connection.

  • Marc Pereira has spent over 15 years in hospitality, with a brief detour through the world of creative agencies. After a few years in client services, he found his way back to what he knows best: great places and the people who gather in them.

Now based in Prince Edward County, Marc works with the team at Angeline’s Inn and House of Falconer, helping shape the guest experience and the stories around it.

Part host, part project wrangler — happiest when a place feels just right.
